After the first door-to-door canvassing event by the HNH Energy Project's team in the field in San Gregorio, on Wednesday 9 November the first meeting with the municipality of San Gregorio was held, where local residents were able to have an open conversation with representatives of the green hydrogen and ammonia project that is planned for this town.
At the event, held in the Village’s Tourism Office, residents expressed their doubts and opinions regarding the project’s construction and future job creation. They also learned about the different stages of the project, the goal of which is to produce green ammonia.
HNH Energy Head of Community Relations, Catalina Machicao, referred to the work they have done in the area over recent weeks, declaring that “we arrived in San Gregorio over two years ago to start development of the HNH Energy project and since 2021 we have been working to establish a connection that allows us to hear residents’ concerns and desires, because as HNH Energy we believe that community feedback and forging permanent, transparent and responsible communication are fundamental to this project’s development.”
